About SEI Dar es Salaam

The Mission of SEI’s Africa centre is to support close collaboration with African organisations and networks on key African environmental and development issues and provides sensitive and effective leadership across SEI’s engagements in Africa.

SEI’s Africa centre is envisioned as a network based centre with nodes in South, East and West Africa. The Coordinating Office of SEI’s Africa Centre is based at the Institute of Resource Assessment at the University of Dar es Salaam.

In December 2008 the Dar es Salaam office had two employees, Anders Arvidson and Stacey Noel. It is envisioned that SEI Africa Centre will continue to expand through partnerships with institutions in Africa as external funding that allows this expansion to happen is secured.
