weADAPT launched at Bali Climate Conference
SEI, as part of the weADAPT Group, coordinated the launch of a new climate change adaptation platform at the UN Climate Change Conference in Bali, Indonesia, in December 2007.
Responding to a perceived need for an integrated approach to making practical and robust climate risk management decisions, weADAPT provides guidance by pooling expertise from a wide range of organisations that contribute to adaptation science and practice.This includes a suite of new and innovative tools and methods, datasets, experiences, worked examples and training material that is a resource for those tasked with undertaking adaptation in various forms.
The weADAPT Group will work closely with the UNEP Collaborating Centres for Climate Adaptation, to be launched in 2008.
