Work by SEI researchers Åsa Gerger Swartling, Annika E. Nilsson and Peter Rudberg has been used to provide important reference points on the climate adaptation process in the Stockholm County.

Three recent research reports have been promoted by the Stockholm County Administration (all projects are in Swedish):

- A report co authored by Åsa Gerger Swartling which explores risk perceptions, stakeholder mapping and social learning in the context of climate adaptation in the Stockholm region (in Swedish)

- Annika E. Nilsson’s and Swartling’s report on global and local perspectives of social learning and climate adaptation

- Peter Rudberg’s work on the effects of climate change in Stockholm (in Swedish)

The reports have been produced as part of the Mistra-SWECIA programme which explores climate, impacts and adaptation on regional and local scales in Sweden. As part of the programme, SEI leads the project "The Process of Adaptation to Climate Change". This project investigates factors that influence people's decisions to prepare or not to prepare for future climate risks.
