Advancing Capacity in Climate Change Adaptation (ACCCA)

The ACCCA project (2006-2009) draws on recent lessons learned about communicating climate risk information in clear terms that are relevant to decision-makers.
This includes addressing climate risks and adaptation in an integrated, multidisciplinary way; the importance of engaging stakeholders substantively; and the long-term benefits of partnering institutions from scientific and policy communities for understanding and managing climate change risks.
Partners are the United Nations Institute for Training & Research (UNITAR), Environnement et Développement du Tiers Monde (ENDA-TM), the Climate System Analysis Group - Cape Town (CSAG-UCT), and the Global Change System for Analysis Research & Training (START).
