Short Term Solution for Climate Change
Johan Kuylenstierna, director of the SEI York Centre and scientific coordinator of two United Nations Environment Programme reports on short-lived climate forcers, is interviewed on this radio programme, which is broadcast on U.S. public radio stations, about the Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants. The latter, a five-year initiative by the governments of the United States, Sweden, Canada, Mexico, Ghana and Bangladesh, was launched on 16 February, 2012, to pursue cuts to several pollutants – including methane, soot and hydrofluorocarbons – that contribute to global warming.
