Patricia Vilchis Tella joined SEI Stockholm in September 2008 and currently works as a Research Associate focusing on energy access, biofuel sustainability and agriculture.
Patricia has 4 years of experience working with energy access in Africa, including research on the role of private sector and international investment in scaling up energy access in developing countries and analyzing sustainability indicators of different sustainability frameworks for biofuel crops production and its implementation in Latin America and Africa.
Before joining SEI, Patricia worked in the private sector; she has experience in international trade legislation, market research, market development and client management.
She is currently dedicating most of her time to the project “Energy for all 2030” which is a cross-European project which aims to raise the public and political profile of energy access for achieving the Millennium Development Goals in Sub Saharan Africa.
She has MSc on International Business and Economics at the ITESM (Instututo Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey), Mexico and is currently finishing a MSc in Ecosystems Governance and Globalization at Stockholm University /Stockholm Resilience Centre, focusing her research on sustainability indicators on agriculture, particularly for soy production in Uruguay.
