Title: Senior Researcher

Richard Taylor is an specializes in agent-based modelling, applied in the realms of water resources, land use and social networks.

He is interested in norms and other social coordination mechanisms: market-based and community or participation-based arrangements, and how these impact on environmental systems (and the social groups that depend on them).

Prior to joining SEI, he worked in the area of agent-based modelling (Business and Management) at the Centre for Policy Modelling, Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), obtaining a PhD in 2004. He also previously obtained MSc. in Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems (Cognitive Science) and BSc. Mathematics.

He joined SEI Oxford in May 2007 as a Research Fellow, working on NeWater, CAVES, ADAM and the 'Transformations and Risk' projects.

He also tutors at MMU Business School, MRes, and on MSc Water Science Oxford University (Centre for the Environment).
