Helen Thai is a research associate in the China Cluster program of SEI.

She has several years experience as a political and security affairs analyst within Australia's Department of Defence, with a specialisation in China-related issues.

Prior to joining SEI, Helen also worked as a senior policy officer on water reform issues in the Australian government. She has a Masters degree in Strategic Studies from the Australian National University, a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University, and a Diploma in Business Management.
