Basra Ali worked at SEI-Oxford as the Regional Coordinator for Kenya from May 2009 until December 2010.

Ali has seven years experince in livelihood assessment and policy engagement and is a social development expert in social science research, with main focus on policy and research that affects Arid and Semi-Arid areas of Eastern Africa.

Ali has advised key ministries in Kenya on the impacts of climate change and research on migration and climate change as well as livelihood alternatives.
