Marie Olsson is a political scientist with particular focus on China’s international relations.

Her current research involves various aspects of China’s environmental diplomacy, including its participation in the international climate negotiations and outward land and resource-investments.

Marie also works with project coordination, and is currently involved in the SEI-FBDS Rio+20 energy access for all assessment in preparation for the UNCSD 2012 and the Arctic Resilience Report.

Marie joined SEI in December 2008 and has a BSc in Political Science and Chinese from Stockholm University and an MSc in Asian Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.

Prior to joining SEI Marie worked as an English teacher in Yinchuan, China.
