Anders Arvidson is a Research Fellow and Manager of the Coordinating Office of SEI's Africa Centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Anders has more than 13 years of experience of consulting, research and advisory services in developing countries in the area of energy, environment and development. He has a broad knowledge of the institutional and policy issues that relate to clean and sustainable energy and has worked extensively on issues regarding increasing access to modern energy services to meet the Millennium Development Goals in a number of developing countries.
Anders has significant renewable energy experience including photovoltaic and biomass energy. He has been involved in and facilitated numerous participatory processes in designing interventions related to energy policy and institutional capacity development. Anders is an experienced project manager and has managed several large projects.
Anders was previously Senior Consultant in the Energy Sector Reform and Development Group at Econ Pöyry and has also worked as Country Desk Officer for Vietnam at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
