Mathieu worked at SEI York as a researcher during 2014 through 2016.
Mathieu worked with Jennie Barron on the the Challenge Programme for Water and Food (CPWF) project for which SEI is produced a decision-support model for targeting and out-scaling agricultural water management technologies in the Limpopo and Volta Basins. His work focused on mapping irrigated areas in Burkina faso using remote sensing.
His main research interests are on small scale renewable energy, water conservation, ecological sanitation and social enterprises in relation to sustainable agriculture in developing countries.
