Integrating Short-run and Long-run Perspectives in Low Emissions Development Planning

Atmospheric pollutants, including greenhouse gases, are resulting in growing atmospheric concentrations of long- and short-lived climate forcers, leading to damaging effects on human health, ecosystems and economic development.

This initiative will study the effects of integrated climate mitigation of short-lived climate pollutants, other air pollution and greenhouse gases, and the realization of multiple benefits. It will support practitioners to develop plans and strategies that will allow them to more effectively integrate the many dimensions of air pollution and climate change, both in the near and long term.
