Impact assessment on short-lived climate pollutants

The project aims to assess the impact of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) on human health in Estonia.

A part of the project is also to build capacity amongst Estonian experts and authorities to assess the long-term SLCP emissions trajectories and evaluate the cost and benefits of the policy measures addressing emissions and emitters of SLCPs.

In 2014, Estonia's Minister of the Environment declared the country's willingness to join the international Clean Air and Climate Coalition (CACC) in order to strengthen the actions to mitigate climate change on a national level, thus contributing to the global efforts towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The project will contribute to build understanding amongst the relevant authorities on the work of CACC and the benefits for Estonia to join and participate in the activities of the coalition.
