This is the Policy brief for a SEI report which reviews the effects of air pollution, energy generation and pesticide use on ecosystem services needed for MDG attainment.
With only 5 years to go before the 2015 deadline, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on reducing hunger and poverty and not predicted to be met. The supply of the ecosystem services on which we depend for food and livelihood is being reduced in many areas due to various pressures.
