Chusit has extensive experience in the field of hydro-meteorology, flood risk management and flood modeling.
Prior to joining SEI, he worked with the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center managing projects and organizing trainings related to flood hazard assessment and flood disaster risk management. Chusit has worked previously for Opus International Consultant Ltd and Mekong River Commission (MRC).
His main areas of work and expertise include: hydraulic analysis with the use of flood modelling to investigate climate change and infrastructure development impacts on hydraulic conditions; hydro-meteorological database management; analysis of hydrological conditions in the Lower Mekong Basin; flood forecasting and flood analysis and project management; analyzing climate information for water resource management, urban development and risk management.
Chusit has a Ph.D. in Global Hydrology and Water Resource Engineering from the University of Tokyo in Japan.
