    Cassilde Muhoza is a Research Associate with SEI Africa working on various environmental issues including sustainable urbanization, climate change, and energy, water and ecosystem services. She recently completed an audit of SEI's expertise in urbanization and mapping out potential partners in order to help SEI Africa develop its 'managing urban change' programme.

    Prior to joining SEI, she worked as an intern for six months at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Regional office for Sub-Saharan Africa in Nairobi. Previously, she worked as a research officer - Energy and climate change for eight months at the South-West Infrastructure Technical Research Center (CETE Sud-Ouest, a decentralized department of the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy) in Toulouse, France. During this time, she participated in the drafting of the national guide on the “Energy and climate change aspects of the French urban planning documents”.

    Cassilde holds a Research-oriented Master‘s degree in Environment and Landscape, a Master’s degree in Geography and Environmental planning and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environmental planning from the University of Toulouse II– Le Mirail, Toulouse, France.

    From her multidisciplinary education and professional experience, she has developed strong skills in project design and management and data analysis, as well as in environmental policy evaluation. She has excellent command of both French and English.
