    Tim Suljada is a policy analyst and project manager, specializing in the fields of energy, climate change and development. His work in Government and international organizations has focused on low carbon planning, greenhouse gas mitigation analysis and climate change vulnerability and adaptation assessments. He is currently researching climate mitigation and adaptation transition pathways and their interaction with broader policy objectives.

    Prior to joining SEI, he spent four years implementing international development projects in Vietnam and the Mekong region for multilateral partners, including the World Bank and Asian Development Bank as well as working for the United Nations Development Programme. He has advised governments on urban low carbon transition pathways, integrated assessments of the energy sector and climate change risks to infrastructure services. His professional background also includes policy and project work at various levels of Government in Australia since 2006, including at AusAID where he managed overseas development assistance programs in energy, infrastructure and climate change across Asia and the Pacific.

    Tim holds a Masters in International Relations from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sydney where he specialized in environmental decision-making, publishing his Honours Thesis on process development for recycling of copper from scrap materials.
