Dr. Divya Pandey left SEI in September 2018 to take up a position at the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF). She worked at SEI York from Nov 2015 until Sept. 2018. Her research focus was on understanding plant-soil interactions that influence soil C dynamics under changing environmental conditions. During her time at SEI she worked on an AXA Research funded project entitled ‘What levels of risk will ground level ozone pose to soil carbon sequestration over coming decades’. She was responsible for further developing the SEI’s DO3SE: Deposition of Ozone for Stomatal Exchange model incorporating a crop growth module.
Divya was also instrumental in taking forwards the work to collate and standardise Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project (AgMIP) datasets. These are empirical datasets that describe crop response to experimental ozone fumigations and have been identified, collated and standardised specifically for use in developing crop models as part of the AgMIP-ozone initiative.
